MELROSE HAVEN B&B
Cosy self-contained queen studio with spa
Melrose Haven B&B is a cosy, self-contained apartment style queen studio just minutes from Wellington airport on the Melrose hills overlooking Lyall Bay.
We are conveniently situated less than 2km from the ASB Sports Centre, Maranui Cafe and Lyall Bay beach and just metres from the Southern Walkway - yet still within 6km of the Wellington CBD.
This beautiful bed and breakfast comes with a hot spa pool and is the perfect place to relax after a busy business trip in the capital, or unwind after exploring Wellington city - the coolest capital in the world! Perfect also as a writer's retreat or couple's romantic getaway.
The bedroom, with a queen bed and New York style sofa, has French doors opening to a verandah with patio furniture to sit and enjoy the birdsong and views.
The self-contained queen studio takes up the entire bottom story of our house. You will have your own entrance and exclusive use of the spa pool and back courtyard. (Although we will need to attend to and water the garden at times in summer).
The queen bed and sofa bed are in the same studio space, along with a small desk for a laptop if you have work to do, a small wardrobe with two cosy robes for your use and a luggage rack for a suitcase.
There's also an eclectic collection of books and magazines as well as handy guides to all that Wellington has to offer. Voted the 'coolest little capital' by Lonely Planet, Wellington was also voted the best place to visit in Aotearoa New Zealand - so you will find plenty to do.
The kitchenette is seperate to the studio lounge/bedroom and has a breakfast bar and comfortable bar stools. It comes equipped with microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, dinner setting for four, cutlery and wine glasses as well as serving platter if you feel like snacks and a wine on the verandah.
There is also a seperate bathroom (shower and toilet and bathroom vanity - no bath), with its own door to the verandah and steps down to the spa. There's shampoo and conditioner, body wash and hand wash and a hair dryer so no need to pack the extras unless you have your own special brands or preferences.

Melrose Haven B&B is a quality assessed full member of the Bed & Breakfast Association of New Zealand, complying with the association's high quality standards, and has five star Superhost status on AirBnb.
